Flowers and Greens quietly opened its doors on the eve of All Saint’s Day, twenty (20) years ago. In the rather quiet city of Lipa back then, it was a concept that was considered new and maybe not quite known to some. It was a welcome challenge to not falter and stay true to a vision that was rooted in the desire to create beautiful bouquets for those wanting to gift their loved ones with something special. Bouquet of flowers that would translate whatever it is that spoken words cannot express…. beautiful flowers that sometimes stand as witnesses in one’s crossroad …… and from there, I daresay, the rest is history.
In this industry, one may find it overwhelming to be in the midst of the chaos of the digital world. The plethora of social media channels and business categories such as stylists, floral designer, floral architect, can prove to be intimidating if not confusing. The flow of time and the fluidity of the changes this industry presents are not always easy. It is a journey to unlearn and re-learn, marry the old and the new, continuously evolve, and face the challenges of time… but at the same time stand in our own light and remember why we started this business in the first place.
While events business is great, retail holds a special place in our hearts. Each bouquet we make tells a unique story and embarks on a tale waiting to be written. It is retail that brought us here today. To those who have shared their stories with us throughout the years, our heartfelt gratitude. The hearts we touched, the people we inspired and the path we paved along the way make this journey truly worthwhile.
As we continue to navigate this path, each step is taken with a grateful heart. It is with hope that you all continue to take this journey with us as we all evolve, explore the unknown, embrace the uncertainty, and trust that the process holds valuable lessons and rewards. As we take that step forward, it is our commitment to advocate for sustainable floristry. To use reusable materials and reduce the trash this industry makes. We are soon to embark on foam-free floristry and use this platform to advocate for it.
Sincerest gratitude to the hardworking staff and crew of Flowers and Greens. The path is endless, and the time is ever-changing….. just like the tides, they ebb and flow……ride them unapologetically.
